The Challenge
TitanHQ recognised the need for a website that was not only visually strong but also fully accessible to every visitor.
Key requirements included:
- Achieving WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
- Meeting the European Accessibility Act deadline (June 28, 2025).
- Ensuring every accessibility remediation genuinely improves the user experience.
- Completing the project without disrupting ongoing marketing and business needs.
AccessPoint’s Approach
AccessPoint began work in February 2025 with a clear objective: transform TitanHQ’s site into a compliant and intuitive digital experience for all users.
Our process included:
- Colour contrast remediation: Adjusting site-wide text to meet the 4.5:1 ratio for readability.
- ARIA implementation: Adding contextual information to interactive features, ensuring compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Semantic coding: Structuring code for clarity and meaning, giving each element an accessible purpose.
- Ongoing collaboration: Regular stakeholder workshops with TitanHQ to share progress, educate internal teams, and align accessibility goals with brand priorities.
- Iterative auditing: Conducting follow-up audits and remediations to confirm ongoing compliance.
The Solution
By June 2025, the TitanHQ website had already achieved a 92% accessibility score. A further round of improvements lifted the score to 96.71% by August 2025.
Crucially, these gains represented real benefits for end users: clearer navigation, more consistent functionality, and a more inclusive experience for all. TitanHQ staff also gained hands-on knowledge of accessibility best practices, ensuring improvements are sustained long after launch.
